After we speculated back in October, Emily Eavis has confirmed that Dolly Parton will be playing Glastonbury 2014 - most likely in the 'legends slot' on Sunday - while Blondie's Debbie Harry has also stated the band has been booked for the Worthy Farm festival in June.
Dolly Parton Will Play Glastonbury 2014
Announcing the news to BBC 6 Music, Eavis said of the Dolly booking, "It's something we've been wanting to happen for a long time, and she finally said yes."
Eavis said Parton will already be in the UK for her Blue Smoke world tour, playing London's O2 Arena on June 27.
Elsewhere at the NME Awards last night - at which the Arctic Monkeys were the big winners - Blondie confirmed they had been booked for Glastonbury. "We just heard today - we're going to be doing Glastonbury!" said Debbie Harry, who collected the Godlike Genius Award with her group.
So far, we know that Arcade Fire will be headlining the Pyramid Stage for 2014 (possibly on the Friday night) and that Lily Allen, Warpaint and Suzanne Vega will also be playing. Given his recent UK jaunt, Prince remains a realistic possibility for a headline slot and Elbow have been rumoured to be in talks to close the festival. Other possibilities include The Eagles, Foo Fighters, Kanye West and Rihanna.

Skrillex and Pixies are strong rumours to headline The Other Stage, while Manic Street Preachers, Drenge and Klaxons are almost certain to play.
Last year's Glastonbury Festival takes place in Somerset between June 25 and 29. Last year's festival was headlined by Arctic Monkeys, the Rolling Stones and Mumford & Sons.
