Country music superstar Dolly Parton gave her singer pal Randy Travis a special shout out during her concert in Oklahoma on Saturday (31May14) after the stroke survivor made a rare public appearance to check out her show.

Travis, 55, has been keeping a low profile in recent months after suffering a debilitating stroke last July (13), when he underwent emergency surgery and was even placed on life support for 48 hours.

He was subsequently transferred to a physical therapy facility to help him learn to walk and talk again, and he stepped out in public for the first time in February (14), when he supported his pal Neal MCCoy at a gig in Dallas, Texas.

Travis ventured out again on Saturday to take in Parton's show in Thackerville, Oklahoma and the Jolene hitmaker made her appreciation to the recovering star known as she hit the stage.

She told the audience, "There are some people you just love and admire for their talents. Tonight, one of those people are here (sic). Randy Travis, wherever you are, I hope you are enjoying the show."

Travis later joined Parton and singer Janie Fricke backstage and posed for a photo.

Parton tells People.com, "It was so great to have Randy at my show. He was looking good and doing great."
