Sacha Baron Cohen Resurrects Borat In Time For American Mid-Term Elections

Sacha Baron Cohen Donald Trump Jimmy Kimmel

As if he hadn’t caused quite enough controversy with his recent series ‘Who Is America?’, comedian Sacha Baron Cohen was at it again this week, reviving his character Borat in time for the country’s mid-term elections.

As the United States prepared to go to the polls on Tuesday night (November 6th), the British star got back into character as the tactless Kazakh journalist Borat Sagdiyev (from whose character Baron Cohen made a whole film in 2006) in order to go door to door in a Los Angeles neighbourhood to drum up support for Donald Trump and the Republicans.

“Russia interfere with the presidential election,” he said, in a five-minute clip prepared for the special election broadcast of ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’.

Robert De Niro's New York Restaurant Evacuated After Suspect Package

Robert De Niro Donald Trump

The Tribeca Grill – the New York City restaurant owned by actor Robert De Niro – has been evacuated by police after a suspicious package similar to those mailed to CNN and senior Democrats this week was discovered on the premises.

Citing police sources, NBC reported that the package arrived at the restaurant in the early hours of Thursday morning (October 25th). It was reportedly directly addressed to the Hollywood star, who has been an outspoken critic of Trump’s campaigns and administration for a couple of years and who once said he wanted to “punch” Trump.

It comes as an alert was sparked earlier this week when suspicious, apparently glass-filled pipe bombs, were sent to a number of high-profile liberal targets, including Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama and liberal philanthropist George Soros.

Barbra Streisand Targets Trump In New Single 'Don't Lie To Me'

Barbra Streisand Donald Trump

Barbra Streisand has just released a soaring new single paying tribute to President Donald Trump; it's called 'Don't Lie To Me' and it's a ruthless take down of his political regime. But that's only the tip of the iceberg with her newest album 'Walls', released this Fall.

The piano-led ballad is as unambiguous and unapologetic as Trump himself, but targets him for the blatant lies and deceit that have come from him since taking office with lines like 'Hard to believe the things you say' and 'You change the facts to justify'.

Snoop Dogg Slams Donald Trump And Kanye West In NSFW Outburst

Snoop Dogg Donald Trump Kanye West

Snoop Dogg has hit out at President Donald Trump and his supporters, including fellow rapper Kanye West, in a radio outburst.

The iconic hip-hop star, who first arrived on the scene over 25 years ago, was speaking to radio DJ Suss One for The Feature Presentation on SiriusXM this week, a clip of which found its way onto YouTube on Tuesday (September 18th). Snoop’s NSFW broadside was triggered when the presenter told him that “a lot of his fans” often get angry if Trump is criticised on the air.

“Well you need to know that a lot of your fans is racist,” the 46 year old rapper retorted frankly. “I don’t give a f***. I tell them straight up. If you like that n***** you mother****** racist.”

Why Might Gwen Stefani Be Responsible For Donald Trump's Presidency?

Gwen Stefani Donald Trump Michael Moore

Solo pop star; lead singer of No Doubt; mother of three and in a happy relationship with country music artist Blake Shelton – Gwen Stefani is totally, unimpeachably harmless, right?

Maybe not – for, according to one person, Stefani is the reason that Donald Trump decided to run for president. Granted, that person is Michael Moore, but let’s hear him out…

Moore’s new documentary film about Trump’s candidacy and presidency, Fahrenheit 11/9, which premieres on Thursday (September 6th) at the 2018 Toronto Film Festival, argues that Trump initially announced his bid because he found out that his salary on NBC’s ‘The Apprentice’ was lower than what Stefani was getting for ‘The Voice’ on the same network.

Kanye West Answers Jimmy Kimmel's Donald Trump Question - Finally

Kanye West Donald Trump Jimmy Kimmel

Three weeks after he was first asked, Kanye West has finally given a response to the question that Jimmy Kimmel asked him about Donald Trump.

Appearing on the chat show host’s show back in early August, the rapper was asked why he thinks that the current president cares about black people – spinning a statement that West himself made more than a decade ago about former president George W. Bush in the wake of Hurricane Katrina.

Speaking to 107.5 WGCI Chicago, 40 year old West was asked the same question, and, after a long 25-second pause, he eventually answered: “I feel that he cares about the way black people feel about him.”

7 Times Politicians Tried To Use Pop Songs Without Permission

After Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler had to write a second cease-and-desist letter to Donald Trump asking him to stop playing their songs during his rallies this week – having already called him out for doing the same with ‘Dream On’ three years ago – we thought we’d compile some other famous moments when politicians got scolded by musicians for using their songs without permission.

Almost inevitably, such clashes come up when songs are used by right-wing or conservative parties and candidates. Musicians are a fairly liberal bunch, understandably, and they don’t want their messages and sentiments getting confused with those counter to their own beliefs and ideologies.

So, here’s seven other famous moments when politicians tried to get some credibility off pop stars.

Steven Tyler Issues Cease And Desist Letter To Trump For Using Aerosmith Song

Aerosmith lead singer Steven Tyler has called out president Donald Trump, ordering him to stop playing the band’s music at his political rallies.

The rock legends’ song ‘Livin’ On The Edge’ was blasted out at a rally at Charleston, West Virginia on Tuesday (August 21st). Lawyers for their frontman Tyler quickly responded, issuing a cease-and-desist letter to prevent Trump from doing so again.

“Mr Trump is creating the false impression that our client has given his consent for the use of his music, and even that he endorses the presidency of Mr Trump,” the letter reads. “Mr Trump does not have any right to use the name, image, voice or likeness of our client, without his express written permission.”
