U2 scrapped and re-wrote a lot of their new album 'Songs of Experience' because Donald Trump's election rendered much of it irrelevant.

The group - made up of Bono, The Edge, Adam Clayton and Larry Mullen Jr. - worked with new producer Andy Barlow on the record, and he admitted the new President of the United States caused a shift in songwriting for the band.

Speaking to Billboard, he explained: ''The album changed massively when Trump got elected. We pretty much had it in the bag and then the band came in the next day and went, 'We've got to change it. It's not relevant anymore.'

"Rogue Employee" At Twitter Deletes Donald Trump's Account

The internet has saluted an employee at Twitter who used his last day with the company to temporarily shut down president Donald Trump’s account.

The controversial POTUS’ Twitter account, @realDonaldTrump, was deactivated by what the social media company called a “rogue employee” whose last day was on Thursday (November 2nd). It was reactivated 11 minutes later, before Twitter apologised and conducted an investigation.

“We have learned that this was done by a Twitter customer-support employee who did this on the employee's last day. We are conducting a full internal review,” the company said in a tweet, two hours after initially saying that they were “taking steps to prevent this from happening again.”

“I didn't go out [with him]; he called me. I was on location doing a movie, and he called me right after he had gotten a divorce. He said, ‘I really think we should date because you’re America’s sweetheart and I’m America’s richest man and people would love it’,” Shields told Cohen.

Rap star 50 Cent has sensationally claimed that he turned down an offer of $500,000 from Donald Trump to join his presidential campaign last year.

The 42 year old hip-hop veteran, real name Curtis Jackson, was discussing the controversial Trump administration in a radio interview with US station Hot 97 this week when he revealed that he had been offered half a million dollars to make an appearance on the campaign trail for the Republican candidate.

Fiddy told the interviewer Ebro that he believed that the offer was made because Trump wanted to appeal to black voters. Indeed, recent research from the U.S. Census Bureau revealed that the African-American vote declined in 2016 for the first time in two decades.

Continuing his long-standing tradition of political satire, chat show host Stephen Colbert has announced the launch of a new animated series about President Donald Trump and his White House administration for Showtime.

The network announced on Thursday evening (July 27th) that it had snapped up a series of 10 of a half-hour show to be produced by ‘The Late Show’ host Colbert. It currently doesn’t have a title, but early speculation indicates it might share a similar concept to ‘South Park’, where contemporary news stories are turned around very quickly to make episodes play off them.

“I know a lot of people wanted to do this, and I’m honoured that the Cartoon President invited our documentary crew into his private world,” 53 year old Colbert said in a statement. “I’ve seen some of the footage, and I look forward to sharing the man behind the MAGA.”

It lost Griffin her regular gig as the host of CNN’s New Year programming, and caused a huge backlash in the U.S. as people’s opinions were divided.

Now, New York Magazine writer Yashar Ali has sensationally claimed that Griffin was interviewed and interrogated for over an hour by the Secret Service as part of the investigation, which has still not concluded.

Black was speaking to Variety at the Sundance Film Festival where he was promoting new film The Polka King with co-star Willie Garson and the two actors discussed Trump’s “obsession with winning.”

Alec Baldwin Will Continue To Do His Donald Trump Impersonation

Following a string of memorable appearances on ‘Saturday Night Live’ in the last few months, Alec Baldwin has suggested that he’ll continue to do his impersonation of president-elect Donald Trump as much as his busy schedule will allow.

The 58 year old actor is set to be the host of a new 10-episode series of revived game show ‘Match Game’ in 2017, but he told ABC News over the weekend that despite the significant time commitment he’ll try to help out on ‘SNL’ with his Trump character as often as possible – and that he might bring it to some other platforms!

“I'm gonna do [my impression] as much as I can,” Baldwin said, “and there's discussions about other venues we might pursue to further express our gratitude and admiration for the Trump administration.”
