Chart-topping star Mary J. Blige has admitted she was ''petrified'' to interview Hillary Clinton in 2016.
The 46-year-old singer-songwriter was tasked with interviewing the then-Presidential candidate last year and she admits her lack of experience influenced her decision to serenade Clinton with a rendition of Bruce Springsteen's 'American Skin (41 Shots)'.
She said: ''[I was] petrified to do the interview because I'm not a journalist. But I became one. I'm an actress so I turned that thing on and made it happen. That was a nice conversation.''

It's been three months since Kathy Griffin apologised for her controversial anti-Trump photoshoot, during which she's had time to reflect on her actions. And now she's decided that she's not actually sorry at all. But she has some very good reasons why she's retracting that apology.
Kathy Griffin at the Women's Choice Awards
Back in May, celebrity photographer Tyler Shields shot pictures of comedian Kathy Griffin holding a bloody fake head resembling that of President Donald Trump. Understandably, there was immediate backlash over the idea of her endorsing an assassination, but she eventually apologised and removed the images, conceding that she had gone 'way too far'.

Paris Hilton was forced to apologise this week after a magazine interview garnered a lot of negative attention because of comments she made in defence of Donald Trump. She had made flippant remarks about sexual assault charges against the President ahead of the election last year.

The 36-year-old socialite insists that while she is sorry about the nature of what she said, she is disappointed that it was 'misapplied' by the article in question. She was discussing the leak of Trump's sexist conversation with Billy Bush on an Access Hollywood bush several years ago.
We never thought we'd hear him long for those days again.
Once a firm opposer of George W. Bush, Bright Eyes singer Conor Oberst has found himself longing for the days of his presidency now that Donald Trump is in power. He's still extremely vocal about politics when it comes to interacting with his fans, but now he's accusing Trump of trying to 'replicate the Russian oligarchy'.
Conor Oberst performs at The O2 in Glasgow
His live shows used to be protests of President George W. Bush's regime, with the 2005 Bright Eyes album 'I'm Wide Awake, It's Morning' being a commentary on the fascist society he believed the President stood for. Now, however, that seems like nothing compared to what Donald Trump stands for.

She has removed the misinformed post attacking the President for his politically incorrect conduct.
She might be known as the Queen of Twitter to many, but that doesn't mean that Jk Rowling doesn't get it wrong from time to time. She's been a vocal opposer of Donald Trump from the beginning, but she's been forced to apologise for a recent unflattering post about the President.
JK Rowling arriving at the BAFTAs
It was an unfortunate attack, but all the 'Harry Potter' author can do now is apologise unreservedly for the hasty and uninformed assumptions she made about the President in regards to him apparently snubbing a small disabled child in a press clip. It took the boy's mother to insist that she'd got the wrong end of the stick for her to admit her mistake and remove the post.

Showtime snapped up 10 half-hour episodes for the new series, which will premiere this fall.
Continuing his long-standing tradition of political satire, chat show host Stephen Colbert has announced the launch of a new animated series about President Donald Trump and his White House administration for Showtime.
The network announced on Thursday evening (July 27th) that it had snapped up a series of 10 of a half-hour show to be produced by ‘The Late Show’ host Colbert. It currently doesn’t have a title, but early speculation indicates it might share a similar concept to ‘South Park’, where contemporary news stories are turned around very quickly to make episodes play off them.
“I know a lot of people wanted to do this, and I’m honoured that the Cartoon President invited our documentary crew into his private world,” 53 year old Colbert said in a statement. “I’ve seen some of the footage, and I look forward to sharing the man behind the MAGA.”

The Bastille Day parade included a medley from the national military band.
The French have always been patriotic when it comes to music, and this year they decided to celebrate Bastille Day by having the French Army perform a medley of hits by electronic duo - and national heroes - Daft Punk, including the number one classic 'Get Lucky'.
Daft Punk at the Grammys
This year's parade in Paris was a thrilling homage to the musical act, and indeed French president Emmanuel Macron looked to be having a brilliant time as he grinned his way through the performance, while everyone else there danced and clapped along. The same can't be said for guest of honour and US President Donald Trump, however, who could not have looked less interested or more confused if he tried. Though he was probably under a lot of stress at the time, given the public's reaction to his attendance at the event.

Serkis was 'Lord of the Rings' super-fan Stephen Colbert's guest on 'The Late Show' on Tuesday.

However, as Colbert is wont to do, discussion inevitably turned to the president Donald Trump. A regular feature of late night shows, particularly Jimmy Kimmel’s, is reading out mean tweets, so Colbert launched his own variant of this and asked his guest if he would reprise his memorable character of Gollum in order to read out some of Trump’s infamous tweets.
