Show host, Arnold Schwarzenegger seems to think so
It seems that there are just some things more important than being the leader of the free world and that is America’s Celebrity Apprentice. According to the show’s new presenter, Arnold Schwarzenegger, President-elect Donald Trump will remain the show’s executive producer.
The President-elect will retain the Executive Producer credit on his show, Celebrity Apprentice
Trump stepped down from the role when he took up the Republican presidential race but Arnie - the former governor of California - remarked that he knew Trump was executive producer from the moment he took over as host.
The star of the Terminator films said: "I knew that from the beginning that he is executive producer on the show.
"That was on the credit when you watched the show and I would say I watched 60 per cent of all the shows before I took on this challenge and so his credit was on there.
"It’s no different than when I was running for governor and I became governor. My credit for starring in ‘Terminator’ still said Schwarzenegger and everything stayed the same."
Trump’s advisor, Kellyanne Conway said it was acceptable for Presidents to do things in their leisure time; however, in what is becoming a somewhat predictable set of events, the President-elect took to Twitter to contradict his spokeswoman.
In a series of tweets, Trump said: "I have NOTHING to do with The Apprentice except for fact that I conceived it with Mark B & have a big stake in it. Will devote ZERO TIME." A second tweet added: "Reports by @cnn that I will be working on The Apprentice during my Presidency, even part time, are ridiculous & untrue ... FAKE NEWS!"
