Fact: Classic rockers the Doobie Brothers thrilled fans when they reunited with keyboard player and singer MICHAEL MCDONALD during a TV performance in America on Thursday (20Aug15). MCDonald quit the group in the early 1980s and never rejoined when his bandmates reunited, but he has performed with the Doobies periodically and sat in for a hits medley when the band hit The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Thursday.

Fact: Veteran rockers the Doobie Brothers have been added to the honour roll at the Music Business Association's upcoming luncheon after they were named the 2015 recipients of the Chairman Award in recognition of their career success. They join singer Martina MCBride, who will be feted at the May (15) bash in Nashville, Tennessee for her charity endeavours by officials at the non-profit Music Biz, which aims to advance and promote music commerce.
