Scottish actor Dougray Scott has signed up to star in a movie based on classic SKIDS track INTO THE VALLEY.
The 1979 song was the rock band's biggest hit, and tells the story of young Scottish men who are recruited into the army.
Former Skids frontman Richard Jobson is currently in negotiations to turn the song into a film, and Scott has already agreed to take the lead role of a soldier returning from a tour of duty in Iraq, if the project gets the green light.
He says, "I love the Skids and Into The Valley is such an iconic song for Scots. Richard has started to get the funding together so hopefully it will all come together and we will be able to do it."
