The Victoria's Secret model expecting her second child with her DJ husband Sunnery James and has already vowed to compliment her offspring on her intelligence rather than her looks.
She told the New York Post's Page Six: ''Instead of saying, 'You're so beautiful,' I'll say, 'You're smart,' so she'll have different aspirations in life than beauty and modelling.''
Doutzen has high expectations for her daughter's career and wants to encourage her to pursue a career where brains come first and she can make a real difference.
She explained: ''Though I love my job, I'm not changing the world. I'd love for her to study and to have different aspirations. We need to teach girls they can become presidents, and it's not about beauty all the time.''
The 29-year-old star is set to welcome her daughter in late July and is excited about giving her three-year-old son, Phyllon, a baby sister.
Dutch-born Doutzen announced she was pregnant back in February by posting a tasteful nude photograph on Instagram.
She wrote alongside the black-and-white image: ''This is not a #throwbackthursday this is now! So happy to share with you that we are expecting''.
