The music mogul, formerly known as Puff Daddy, allegedly beat up the Canadian rapper after partying in Miami, but there are conflicting reports as to why this happened.
In the early hours of Monday morning (Dec 8th) two of the biggest names in hip-hop, Diddy and Drake, reportedly began brawling outside a Miami Beach club after some negative comments were aimed at singer Cassie.
As Art Basel Miami was coming to an end, both stars attended club LIV to celebrate DJ Khaled's birthday celebrations, and it was initially reported that they engaged in a physical confrontation after Drake said some disparaging comments about Diddy's 28-year-old girlfriend at about 4 a.m.
However, sources who witnessed the altercation have come forward and claimed the duo came to blows after an argument regarding music rights to an unknown song.
A source told NY Post's Page Six, "Drake and Diddy got into it outside the club. They were arguing over the rights to a song, and got into a physical fight. Diddy claimed that Drake was using music without the proper rights."
Rick Ross's DJ, Sam Sneaker, who was also in attendance, took to Twitter to give a detailed account of the incident. "Diddy put hands on that boy...And he Ain't go 0-100...That boy left," he tweeted. "Drake at the Hospital Smh...He dislocated his Shoulder...Yall pray for Drake."
He added, "It definitely wasn't bout Cassie."

Reports whether Drake was actually hospitalized have not yet been verified, and reps for both rappers have yet to address on the matter. The Miami club also declined to comment.
Earlier on Sunday (Dec 7th), Chris Brown ended his relationship with on-and-off girlfriend Karrueche Tran after accusing the model of dating drake when the R&B singer was in Jail. Neither Tran nor Drake have yet to comment on this either.
