A 21 year old worker at a Drake concert has been arrested after he allegedly stole $3 million worth of jewellery from the rapper’s tour bus while he was performing a gig in Arizona earlier this week.

Travion King, a transient who occasionally worked jobs for the Talking Stick Resort Arena in Phoenix, Arizona, was arrested and taken into custody on Wednesday night (September 7th), having allegedly committed the burglary the previous night while Drake was performing at the venue.

Local police claim that King found his way onto the Canadian rap star’s tour bus, taking advantage of a 15-minute period when security guarding the vehicle was poor, before looting the bus for jewellery belonging to Drake’s tour partner DJ Future The Prince and making off with it in a suitcase.

Officers identified King from surveillance footage and caught up with him the next evening at Arizona State University, where they found him already in custody for trespassing. He was then arrested and charged with felony burglary.

It isn’t known whether King was actually working for the Arena while he was actually committing the crime, or whether he was simply using his knowledge of security at the venue. After speaking with him, the jewellery was apparently returned intact and in full to Drake and his touring partner, according to TMZ.

A video acquired by the gossip site shows Drake at the moment he discovered the crime had taken place, yelling at security and demanding to know how it could have happened.

The theft came on the same day that an inside source told Us Weekly that Drake and Rihanna – whom the rapper professed his love for at the VMAs less than a fortnight ago – were about to take their relationship to the next level.

“They’re together and he loves her,” the insider revealed, with another source close to Rihanna explaining that she might be ready to stop on/off dating and get serious. “She softened when she saw how over-the-top he was — his speech, the billboard, everything. She’s also getting older now, so I think she’s maturing.”
