Drew Barrymore joked about her stint as a bearded lady in a recent interview.
Drew Barrymore revealed that she grew a goatee during her pregnancy.
The actress gave birth to her baby girl Olive last year and has been opening up about the experience of pregnancy and motherhood. Her recent comments about balancing motherhood with a career, but this time the actress talked about a topic that’s probably more unifying for mothers-to-be: the hormone spikes. The odd bouts of facial hair and red spots might not sound like the most appealing thing ever, but they are perfectly normal, as hormones go rampant during pregnancy. And anyway, the fuzz usually goes away after just a couple of weeks. But kudos to Barrymore for being this open about the issues she went through.
The 38-year-old reveals to In Touch magazine, "I got a wonderful little goatee, and it was red! I also got hyperpigmentation on my cheeks." Unlike some of her fellow actresses, Barrymore hasn’t instantly gotten back into superhuman shape either. "I'd rather kill myself than get into a bikini right now!...I take care of myself, but I'm never going to be the person who talks about diet and exercise. I would fail that conversation!"
Post-pregnancy Drew looked radiant at a recent BVLGARY event.
But really, who cares if the new mother can rock a bikini yet. Considering the juggling act she’s been pulling off with motherhood and her business ventures, Drew has probably earned a piece of cake every once in a while.
