Drew Barrymore is expecting her second child!
The couple married in June last year when Barrymore was 7 months pregnant with their first child. Their daughter Olive was born in September 2012. Barrymore and Kopelman decided not to wait for a second child as Barrymore spoke of how she wanted Olive to have a sibling. The Never Been Kissed actress has not kept her plans on expanding her family a secret. In a recent interview with Jay Leno, on The Tonight Show, Barrymore said she wanted to have another baby "very much, right away."
Barrymore also discussed her plans to expand her family during an interview with InStyle magazine. She stated "I was an only child, and it was lonely. Some people love it and thrive on the independence, but I want my kids to have other kids around." Olive, aged 13 months, will have a sibling to play with very soon. Olive, as Barrymore told InStyle, "just loves kids."
The 38-year-old sported her small but growing baby bump at the LACMA Art and Film Gala on Sunday (3rd November).

When questioned in InStyle about having children close to her forties, Barrymore expressed how advantageous waiting until later was for her. She said "I'm glad I lived such a full life before I settled down into a family because I got to enjoy it and get it out of my system."
Despite her happiness, Barrymore definitely has the same worries other parents have. She described parenting as involving "a lot of pride and a lot of nervousness." She further explained her attitude towards being a mother: "I have anxieties about how much I'd like to get it right, making sure I provide her with an environment that's safe, nurturing, and loving. And silly and free, also consistent and grounding. Then I just have the same typical fear every other parent has: Are they going to fall down?"
Congratulations to Drew Barrymore and Will Kopelman!
