Leeds based 5-piece Duels release a new single, Animal, through Nude Records on Monday April 3rd 2006. Produced by James Ford (Test Icicles, Mystery Jets), Animal, a live favourite, is the first taster from their debut album which is set for release in early summer 2006.
Duels signed to Nude Records in the autumn of 2005 having released their debut single, Potential Futures, through the Transgressive (Bloc Party, Mystery Jets, Subways). The single became the labels fastest selling release. Nude released the bands second single, Pressure On You, to much acclaim in the autumn of 2005. The band spent the end of 2005 / beginning of 2006 in the studio recording their, as yet untitled, debut album which is due for release in the early summer.
Duels are: Jon Foulger (vocals), Jim Foulger (guitars), Katherine Botterill (keyboards), Jon Maher (bass) & James Kirkbright (drums).
The band, who have just completed a hugely successful sold out UK tour with The Rakes, have just been announced as support on the forthcoming Graham Coxon. The band also recently played as part of the NME's Awards ceremony shows. They also have a number of headline dates on either side of the Graham Coxon tour.
