Dwayne Johnson's Black Adam To Be Introduced In 'Suicide Squad 2'?

Dwayne Johnson

While Black Adam is usually depicted as the nemesis of Captain Marvel, aka Shazam (who will get a movie of his own in 2019), he has certainly been involved with the Suicide Squad within the comic book world. Now it seems he could be playing the 'weapon of mass destruction' that the supervillain team are sent out to uncover in the upcoming 'Suicide Squad' film sequel.

Dwayne Johnson Explains 'Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle' Video Game Influences

Dwayne Johnson

Back in 1995, Robin Williams and Kirsten Dunst led a stellar cast in 'Jumanji', where two kids found a magical board game and brought the dangerous world of the jungle it harboured straight into their real lives. Now, the franchise is set to make a comeback with an all new cast and premise, as Jumanji turns into a video game and the players are told, 'Welcome To The Jungle'.

Once again, teenagers discover the game Jumanji, but in the new film, they'll find it on an old video game system. This time round however, instead of the world of Jumanji being brought to them, they will be literally drawn into the game's setting and become the adult avatars that they chose on the game's load-up screen.

Campaign To Get Dwayne Johnson Elected President Filed With FEC

Dwayne Johnson

It may have started as a flippant remark, but it seems as though there’s now actually an effort to get Hollywood star Dwayne Johnson’s rumoured political career underway, with reports that an official campaign committee has been filed with the Federal Election Commission.

Wrestler-turned-actor Johnson, the star of the Fast and Furious franchise as well as dozens of other Hollywood action blockbusters, previously made an off-the-cuff comment about possibly running for President, before offering a serious critique of current president Donald Trump’s style of governing.

However, forms filed with the FEC by private citizen Kenton Tilford of West Virginia on Sunday (July 9th) under the campaign name ‘Run The Rock 2020’ now seem to open up the possibility of momentum gathering behind Johnson’s political hopes.

Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle Trailer

It's been over twenty years since the release of the award-winning family adventure starring Robin Williams, and now Jumanji is back with an all new game - and this time, it's gone to console.

Spencer (Alex Wolff), Bethany (Madison Iseman), Fridge (Ser'Darius Blain) and Martha (Morgan Turner) are four high school kids who could not be more different from each other. Spencer's a big time geek and serious gamer, Bethany's super popular, Fridge is a jock and Martha's a bit of a social outcast. Somehow, however, they find themselves all in the same detention, and are forced to spend time with each other while cleaning out the basement.

Of course, this isn't the bonding exercise they would have expected. Pretty soon they come across a super retro computer console with a game on it called Jumanji. Bored out of their minds, they decide to play together, picking characters at random. As you can probably predict, they get sucked into the reality of the game and find themselves in the bodies of their adult avatars in the middle of a jungle.

Dwayne Johnson Inspired Zac Efron

Zac Efron Dwayne Johnson

A film adaptation of the iconic 1990s TV series Baywatch has been in the works for years, and it's finally here, with Dwayne Johnson assuming the red trunks to play Mitch Buchanan, David Hasselhoff's character in the show (with the Hoff himself appearing in a cameo as his mentor). Johnson says that turning the series into a film allowed them to emphasise what made the show so hugely popular.

The Rock and Zac on the Baywatch set

"Baywatch is all about gratuitous boobs, bums and abs," Johnson laughs. "We worked hard to make sure the flesh quota was high. And we are far dirtier than the show ever was! Obviously the show was a family show on at family time of day, but in the movie we could be dirtier. Actually, I think people are going to be shocked that Baywatch has got dirty, but there are a lot of laughs. Plot was important - don't get me wrong! But so was sorting out our slow-motion runs."

Baywatch Review

OK

Clearly, it's a risky proposition adapting a cheesy vintage TV series for the big screen: this is the second one that's gone awry this year, after CHiPs. But it doesn't have to be like this. Lively movie versions of Charlie's Angels and 21 Jump Street proved that with inventive writing, snarky performances and deranged energy, the result can be thoroughly entertaining. Sadly, this movie falls back on cheap jokes that simply aren't that funny. Fans of Dwayne Johnson and Zac Efron will still have a good time - they're both unstoppably engaging - but the truth is that this simply isn't good enough.

We're back in Emerald Bay, where the beefy hotshot Mitch (Johnson) heads up the lifeguard crew with babes Stephanie and CJ (Ildenesh Hadera and Kelly Rohrbach). And now they're training up three new recruits: fallen Olympic swimming champ Matt (Efron), feisty hottie Summer (Alexandra Daddario) and pudgy geek Ronnie (Jon Bass). Meanwhile, as various crimes and calamities strike the beach, Mitch decides to investigate everything himself without the help of the local police. And as he becomes convinced that resort owner Victoria (Priyanka Chopra) is involved in bribery, extortion, drug running and murder, he sends his lifeguards undercover to catch her. Which of course is just a bit beyond what they were trained to do.

'Baywatch' Sequel Already In The Works

Dwayne Johnson

'Baywatch' might have received quite the beating from film critics and audiences alike, but that hasn't stopped the production team from mapping out a whole new story for a sequel already. The entire cast is expected to return, though there's not word yet on whether director Seth Gordon will be involved again.

According to one producer, they've already brought back the screenwriters from the first movie and are quite sure they'll be able to get the cast back on board too, who include Dwayne Johnson, Zac Efron, Alexandra Daddario, Kelly Rohrbach and Priyanka Chopra.

Dwayne Johnson On The 'Relentlessly Sexy' Female Cast Of 'Baywatch'

Dwayne Johnson

Let's be honest; 'Baywatch' wouldn't be 'Baywatch' without the eye-candy and the new movie is no exception. Not only does it have Dwayne Johnson and Zac Efron in lead roles, there's also some of Hollywood's most beautiful women including Alexandra Daddario and Kelly Rohrbach.

Dwayne Johnson Says Political Career Is "A Real Possibility"

Dwayne Johnson

In an era when total political outsiders can take the highest office in the land, many have reasoned that if Donald Trump can become president of the United States, why can’t somebody genuinely popular do the same, like Dwayne Johnson?

The 45 year old Fast and Furious star, nicknamed ‘The Rock’, stayed schtum when asked who he would be endorsing in last year’s presidential election, and The Washington Post suggested that he could be a considerable force if he ever decided to switch careers and run for political office.

Now, the actor has opened up in a new interview with GQ magazine that he does indeed have political aspirations, saying that a White House run was “a real possibility”.

Baywatch - Trailer and Clips

There is no better lifeguard team out there than that of Los Angeles' Baywatch. However, they are seriously losing money and in order to boost their brand, a PR executive encourages them to get some fresh blood on the team. Matt Brody may have landed two gold medals in the field, but that doesn't guarantee he'll be right for the squad. He's far from an impressive addition in the eyes of Mitch Buchanan; he may be prettier, but he hasn't got the brains or the brawn to match up to him. Matt thinks the job is just about educating people on sunburn and stopping them from drowning, but when it becomes clear that there's a drug ring in the area and a body subsequently washes up on the beach, their job gets a whole lot more complicated. Yeah, they should probably leave it to the police, but instead they decide on an unauthorised undercover sting operation instead. Maybe thrill-seeking Matt can teach Mitch and the team a thing or two about living life on the edge. Or maybe he'll just run like hell.

Dwayne Johnson Reveals 'Rampage' Movie Details

Dwayne Johnson

Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson is one of the hottest properties in the world of Hollywood today. Recently starring in 'The Fate of the Furious', aka 'Fast & Furious 8', and leading the upcoming 'Baywatch' big screen release alongside Zac Efron, he's had one of the busiest work schedules as of late, which shows no signs of slowing down.

One of his upcoming projects for example is a live action adaptation of the retro video game 'Rampage', which saw huge monsters such as a rat and a gorilla stomping through cities, destroying everything in their path without much of an explanation as to why. It sounds awful and, to be fair, the game wasn't anything special, but Johnson will be bringing the game to the big screen in any case.

The Fate Of The Furious - Trailer and Featurette

Dominic Toretto has gone rogue. It seemed like the game was finally up with Brian and Mia retiring from their fast and furious lifestyles, and Dom and Letty swapping that life for marriage, but as it turns out things are not that simple. Dom has apparently sold out his family and friends to embark on another dangerous adventure. He seems to have been lured into action again by a very beautiful but extremely dangerous individual named Cipher. She has some seriously advanced technology at her disposal that she wants to use to execute her plan to take control of every motor vehicle in the city and cause some serious mass destruction. But Letty refuses to lose faith in him because she's sure there must be something more going on, though she doesn't know what yet. She re-teams with Tej Parker and Hobbs and this time they got a tank. Unfortunately for Hobbs, the only way they can take on Dom and his new girlfriend is by enlisting the help of his criminal nemesis Deckard Shaw.

Vin Diesel And Dwayne Johnson Being "Separated" During 'Furious 8' Press Tour

Vin Diesel Dwayne Johnson

The reported on-set tensions between Furious 8 stars Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and Vin Diesel seem to be continuing throughout the movie’s press tour, with new reports suggesting that the studio is having to keep them apart.

When Diesel was promoting the new film at CinemaCon this week, Johnson’s absence was noted upon, particularly as he was also at the convention on Tuesday promoting his other new movies, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle and Baywatch.

“They're keeping them separated as much as possible,” an insider told The Hollywood Reporter on Thursday (March 30th), intimating that the feud that started last year was still ongoing.
