This year the MTV Movie Awards celebrates its 25th anniversary and the ceremony promises to be bigger and better than ever. Comedian Kevin Hart and wrestler-turned-actor Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson have just been announced as the hosts for this year's bash, which will take place on April 10th.

In a statement announcing the gig Johnson said: "It's an honour to be hosting the MTV Movie Awards with a guy who's not only one of the funniest guys on the planet, but who's often mistaken as my twin, Kevin Hart."

"We live for our fans and promise to make this an epic, historic unforgettable night for them.” Hart added: "I love hosting—it's my thing. Dwayne and I are the perfect team for the epic 25th anniversary show. It's going to go down.”

This year fans are be given the opportunity to contribute to the duo's promos, with the shoot being live streamed and fans welcomed to have their say via Instagram. ‘Holy Bubble Shit: I'm hosting the MTV Movie Awards with @therock & you’re writing the promos!’ Hart wrote on Instagram.

‘We’re live streaming at 2pm tomorrow (Saturday February 20th), reply or retweet with what you want us to say! This is Huuuuuuugggeeeee.’ The pair will also be sharing the screen together later this year, in action comedy Central Intelligence, which hits theatres on June 17.
