The Rock clipped somebody's wing mirror on the way to the set of his new movie 'Central Intelligence' back in May, but he managed to charm his way out of it.
Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson was fortunate to get away pretty lightly when he hit another car a few weeks ago after the owner of the other vehicle refused to accept payment – because he was a huge fan of the actor!
The Furious 7 and San Andreas star took to Instagram on Monday (June 16th) to tell followers about the fender bender, in which the rock clipped the parked car’s wing mirror with his truck. “Here's a fun story to start your week off...” he writes. “I'm driving to set in my pick-up truck - music blasting - I'm singing away like I'm having a one man party in my truck - then I hear a loud BANG.”
TMZ reports that Audie Bridges, a folk singer from Wakefield, Massachusetts, was the victim who refused to let Johnson pay him for the damage. When he walked out of his house to see what the commotion was, he was apparently dumbfounded for a few seconds before discovering that the guy who had clipped his car was The Rock.

Johnson continued: “He broke out into a huge smile and said ‘Wow, this is gonna be an awesome story!’. I started belly laughing at that, then he started laughing and before you know it we're both standing in the middle of the street pointing to his mirror and laughing like two ol' crazy buddies.”
When Johnson called back a few days later to offer some form of repayment (i.e. the decent thing to do), Bridges was having none of it. Instead, he had carried out the repairs himself, as he believes in “good karma”.
So, a bit of relief for The Rock not to get involved in a load of paperwork, and a pretty cool story to boot. Next time you get involved in a car accident, just make sure it's with one of your Twitter followers or something.
Johnson was travelling to the set of his new movie Central Intelligence, an upcoming American comedy film in which he stars alongside Kevin Hart, Ed Helms and ‘Breaking Bad’s Aaron Paul and scheduled for released in June 2016.
