For someone from a country where guns are banned and there are generally zero school shootings most years, it seems the obvious way to solve America's problem is to reduce the availability of firearms. Not according to Eagles of Death Metal star Jesse Hughes, however, who's angry that anyone should suggest such a thing.

The band's frontman used his experience escaping the Bataclan mass shooting of 2015 as an excuse to launch an merciless tirade against the protestors of the March for Our Lives movement - including the young people who survived the Parkland high shool massacre.

The former singer of The Police, 65, will perform at the iconic venue in the east of Paris on November 12th, the day before the city marks the first anniversary of the atrocities inflicted in a co-ordinated attack by ISIS last year that targeted a number of bars, restaurants and the national football stadium. A total of 130 people died, and many more were injured.

Hughes said he hasn’t been himself since the events of November 13th and has asked for forgiveness following his comments.
Eagles of Death Metal frontman Jesse Hughes has issued an apology, after he suggested the November 13th attacks on the Bataclan theatre in Paris could have been an inside job. Hughes’ apology comes after the Bataclan’s owners called his remarks, which were made in an interview with Fox Business News, “grave and defamatory.”
Jesse Hughes has apologies for comments he made about security at the Bataclan.
“I humbly beg forgiveness from the people of France, the staff and security of the Bataclan, my fans, family, friends and anyone else hurt or offended by the absurd accusations I made,” Hughes wrote.
The band will play the Olympia Theatre in Paris on February 16th.

U2's two rescheduled gigs in Paris, on December 6th and 7th, will be going ahead as a show of defiance.
U2 and a number of other bands, including Foo Fighters, were forced to cancel gigs in the beleaguered city in the immediate aftermath of the attacks on November 13th. The Irish group’s gigs, the first of which was scheduled for the 14th, was understandably called off and rearranged for December 6th and 7th at the AccorHotels Arena.

The Californian rockers were defiant in their intention to play the venue once again.
Eagles of Death Metal, the Californian heavy rock band caught up in the terrorist attacks at Paris venue Le Bataclan earlier this month, have said that they would like to be the first act to perform there when it reopens.
“I don't want to spend my life trying to appease assholes I want to spend my life smiling with my friends and entertaining them,” said the groups lead singer Jesse Hughes to Vice in an interview where he recalled the horrifying moments when the terrorists struck.

A campaign to get the song to number one in the UK has gathered steam on social media.
Duran Duran have confirmed they will donate all royalties from Eagles of Death Metal’s cover of ‘Save A Prayer’ to charity. The single is currently climbing the UK charts, after an online campaign was started to get the cover to number one following Friday’s attacks in Paris.
Nick Alexander, from Colchester, Essex had also worked with Fall Out Boy and Sum 41.

The band will continue their touring run after festival season.
They performed a stellar set at Download Festival over the weekend and now Josh Homme's band Eagles of Death Metal have added more UK tour dates to their 2015 schedule, with a handful of shows in November following yet more top festival appearances.

With festival dates around Europe this summer - including two in the US and Canada - Eagles Of Death metal will take their busy year right into the Autumn with nine more dates to come including a set at The Forum in London on November 5th 2015. Their next live show, however, will take place tomorrow (June 16th) at The Garage in Glasgow, a city which they will return to on November 11th at the O2 ABC. They will also hit London's KOKO the following day.
