Producers on the BBC1 soap have become concerned that Dyer has increasingly appeared "exhausted", after apparently being drunk at the National Television Awards.
Danny Dyer has reportedly been forced to take a break for a “number of weeks” from the set of ‘Eastenders’, after producers told him he needed to “sort his life out” following a reputed string of drunken benders.
Sources told The Sun on Thursday (February 16th) that the 39 year old actor, who plays The Queen Vic’s landlord Mick Carter, had sparked concern among the BBC soap’s producers when he fell off the wagon at last month’s National Television Awards, in his battle to quit drinking.

Lee Ryan is to join 'EastEnders' as loveable rogue 'Woody' Woodward later in the spring of 2017.
He’s the second former member of early noughties boyband Blue to land a role on a British soap, with bandmate Duncan James joining the cast of Channel 4’s ‘Hollyoaks’ in August 2016.

Both Mitchell sisters will bow out of the soap in an explosive storyline next year.
Rita Simons has announced she’s also departing ‘Eastenders’, alongside on-screen sister Samantha Womack. Simons has played Roxy Mitchell on Albert Square since she was introduced with sister Ronnie 2007 and the pair are set to go out with a bang.
Rita Simons has confirmed she will be leaving ‘Eastenders’ along with Samantha Womack
A BBC spokesperson told MailOnline: “We can confirm that Rita Simons will be leaving EastEnders. Having joined the show in 2007, Rita immediately won the hearts of the audience in the role of Roxy Mitchell and between her and Samantha Womack they created one of the most iconic duos EastEnders has ever seen."

Womack has played Ronnie Mitchell since 2007.
The 43 year old British actress has held down the role of Ronnie Mitchell since 2007, with a brief break, and the news means that she’s set to leave Albert Square early next year, having played the character almost exactly ten years, in a reportedly explosive plot-line devised by the BBC soap’s new head Sean O’Connor.

Many viewers thought the graphically violent scenes were not suitable to air before the 9pm watershed.
The BBC has defended Friday night’s (May 20th) episode of ‘Eastenders’ in which viewers saw young Bobby Beale violently assault his mum Jane with a hockey stick. Some viewers took to Twitter to complain to the broadcaster over the harrowing scenes, which aired before the 9pm watershed.
Laurie Brett plays Jane Beale in ‘Eastenders’.
But in a statement to The Mirror the BBC said: "EastEnders is a fictional drama and our millions of regular fans who tune in each week know and expect dramatic storylines. However we are always mindful of our time slot in which we are shown and we ensure all scenes are editorially justified.”

The perennial soap favourite is planning a £15 million renovation of the set to make it more reflective of the East End in 2016.
The BBC is overhauling the set of its showcase soap opera ‘Eastenders’ in a bid to make it more representative of the real East End of London, adding a mosque, among other features, at its Elstree studios.
It is hoped that the reported £15 million makeover to Walford will allow the soap to “better reflect” the real East End of London as it exists today. “[It] will be as authentic as East London today, including a mosque,” a source told The Sun on Tuesday (February 23rd).

He was asked whether his 'EastEnders' storyline wedding had made him think about his own upcoming marriage. Cue hilarity...
Cockney cheeky chap Danny Dyer was on great form during a daytime TV appearance today, as he left viewers in stitches with his hilarious responses to Susanna Reid’s questions during an interview on ‘Good Morning Britain’.
Trying to prise some details out of Dyer about his upcoming wedding to his long-term partner Joanne Mas, the presenter asked him whether his current ‘Eastenders’ storyline, in which his character Mick Carter is getting married to Linda (Kellie Bright), had got him thinking about his own impending marriage.

The on-screen legend passed away.
Anna Wing – whose turn as Lou Beale in Eastenders lasted for 232 episodes – has sadly passed away aged 98. She died on Sunday, The BBC report. Possibly the last of her kind, with lucrative moves to different projects always on the cards, Wing’s career in the media spanned 6 decades.
In 2009 she received an MBE for her services to television, film, radio and theatre. At the time, Wing said: “I wanted to be an actress when I was a little girl and everybody said no, but I did it. I stuck it out and I've done it for 70 years and I'm still working.” Adam Woodyatt – who plays Ian Beale in Eastenders - described Wing as “a wonderful lady”. He also added that she helped him when he had to cry on screen for the first time.
“I was terrified I wouldn't be able to do it. Anna was so helpful, happy to rehearse it over and over again and put me completely at ease. Sure enough the tears flowed from nowhere. I have so many fond memories of her, my thoughts are with her family and friends.“

The focal point of any Christmas day emits from the box of which all our furniture is pointed at: the television. Christmas telly, in the U.K at least, is famous for being paradoxically depressing, but it still pulls in the viewers.
Eastenders - as it usually does - topped viewing figures for the big day, with 9.4m soap lovers tuning in. That figure is down from last years' 9.9m, as many of the numbers are. Coronation Street, much like in 2011, came second, but unlike 2011, when it was viewed by 9.3m, only 8.6m people chose the northern sitcom as their preferred Christmas telly. This is the fourth year in a row that Eastenders has triumphed in the listings.
Last year, Dr. Who came in third, with 8.9m, while this year's Christmas special - The Snowmen - which has been highly rated by the critics and fans alike, managed to drop over 1m viewers with 7.6m overall, placing it 5th in the chart. The Royal Family snuck into 4th with 7.7m watchers.
