The band are extending their tour into October.
With their first new album in four years coming later this year, Echo And The Bunnymen have hit the road in a series of UK tour dates ahead of the Fall dates that they have just announced, kicking off in Edinburgh and wrapping at Bristol's St Phillips Gate on June 22nd.

The Liverpool new wave band performed at Edinburgh's Usher Hall last night (May 23th 2018) and are set to play a homecoming show at Liverpool's Philharmonic Hall tomorrow night. They will also play at Birmingham's Symphony Hall, Manchester's Bridgewater Gall and Gateshead's Sage One for the rest of the month, before a very special Royal Albert Hall gig on June 1st.

Released exactly 34 years today.
On this day (May 4th) in 1984, Liverpudlian new wave band Echo & the Bunnymen dropped their fourth studio album 'Ocean Rain'. A huge critical and commercial success, it remains an important addition to the post-punk movement, with lead single 'The Killing Moon' being a staple on any 80s rock playlist.
Echo & the Bunnymen - Ocean Rain
For lovers of all things new wave, Echo & the Bunnymen were hugely influential. 'Ocean Rain' reached number 4 in the UK charts when it was released via the now defunct Korova Records, which makes it less commercially successful on a national scale than 1983's 'Porcupine', but - critically speaking - it's probably their best ever record.
The bands join Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds in Clapham Common this July.
Modest Mouse and Wolf Alice are the latest additions to the steadily growing line-up for Calling Festival 2015; a day festival that will see thousands flock to Clapham Common in London this summer to experience the latest and greatest in rock music.
Washington six-piece Modest Mouse and North Londoners Wolf Alice hit the Calling bill alongside the likes of headliners Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds, and previously announced Ryan Adams and the Shining, The Hives, and Echo And The Bunnymen. The multi-stage festival is still to see further exciting line-up announcements in the coming weeks; the bill so far barely scrapes the surface of what to expect at this extraordinary event, which last year played host to more than 80,000 festival goers who congregated to experience Stevie Wonder and Aerosmith.

Arcade Fire covered The Smiths and were joined by Echo and the Bunnymen's Ian McCulloch at Earl's Court.
Arcade Fire treated fans to a cover of London by The Smiths and Echo And The Bunnymen's classic track The Cutter during their second show at Earl's Court Exhibition Centre in London on Sunday (June 8, 2014).
Arcade Fire covered The Smiths at Earl's Court
London, the B-side to 1987's Shoplifters of the World Unite, featured Will Butler on vocals and was a solid, hard-driving rendition of the Smiths favourite. The Cutter was less of a cover, given the band were joined on-stage by Echo frontman Ian Mcculloch.
