Movie star Ed Harris perfected his gaunt, wilderness man look for new movie THE WAY BACK by working on his remote retreat.
Rather than cut out food and hit the gym to play a man on the run from a Russian labour camp, the Oscar winner simply bought an axe.
Harris tells the Globe, "I did hard labour. I've got a piece of property that's just really hard earth. I got a pick axe and a couple of tools and started trying to clear it out, a couple of hours a day for six, seven weeks before I went. I lost a lot of weight."
