Fresh off the back of sharing the stage with BFF Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran has just announced dates for his first ever North American  arena tour. Kicking off on August 22nd, the initial tour announcement consists of 15 dates and starts at Seattle’s Wamu Theater. Included in the run is two nights at The Chelsea at the Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas.

Thanks to a rub from his number one fan Taylor Swift, the British singer has seen his career stateside on the rise over the past 12 months. It seems Sheeran’s particular brand of acoustic musings are finding quite the fan base in the States and things only seem to be getting bigger and better for him.  It also helps that Ed's latest single Sing featured production from man of the moment Pharrell Williams.

Sing is taken from Ed’s upcoming album 'X' (pronounced multiply), which is due out on June 23rd, two months before his tour begins.  This past weekend Sheeran appeared on Saturday Night live to preform Sing, which is expected to debut on the billboard chart this week.
