Ed Sheeran turned down a role in 'Game of Thrones' three years ago.

However, Sheeran is ready to offer his services and is looking for a role in the sixth season of the drama.
"There were talks ages ago of me being an extra, which could have been cool. But every time they shoot it's the time I tour the UK," he recalled in an interview with The Sun. "[But]I've got that time off this year, I'm going to hound them."

Unfortunately for Sheeran, he's not the first musician to land a spot in the series. Snow Patrol's Gary Lightbody played a solider in a season three episode while Coldplay's Guy Berryman made a cameo in another episode. Sigur Ros appeared as musicians during an episode of Season Four.
Last year, Lily Allen - whose real life brother Alfie plays Theon - revealed that she turned down a role on the show.
"I felt uncomfortable because I would have had to go on a horse and he would have touched me up and shit. Once they told me what was entailed, I said no thanks," the singer recalled.
Season five of Game of Thrones is currently airing on HBO in the U.S and Sky Atlantic in the UK.
