Tara Reid has responded to comments Elizabeth Banks made about her in a recent interview and she's certainly taken the high road. Banks, in a recent interview with THR, criticised actress 39-year-old Reid and suggested she has been far from successful in her acting career.  Reid was promoting her upcoming film, Pitch Perfect 2, which she directs and has a small starring role in, during the interview.

Banks was asked about the difficulties of working within Hollywood and particularly for actresses over 40. It was during this section of the interview that Reid's name cropped up.

"There was a group of us girls coming up," 41-year-old Banks said in the interview. "A lot of us are surviving. Some of us are not. I used to go to auditions with Tara Reid. So, you know, we didn't all make it. We're not all still here."

However, Banks did note that she is a fan of Sharknado, the film franchise in which Reid stars. In turn, Reid responded to Banks' comments with a short statement to TMZ

"I've always been a fan of her work and that's sad to hear she said those things about me," Reid said.

Although Reid's short statement seemingly showed her taking the moral high ground, on Twitter she responded in a less subtle manner. Reid retweeted one of her fan's tweets concerning Banks' comments. The fan described Banks as "a mean girl" and "a rude person".

If you can just about forgive Banks for her comments on Reid's highly successful career, then check out Pitch Perfect 2 which is released on 15th May in the US and UK.
