Director Slams Hurley As 'Actress From Hell'

Movie beauty Elizabeth Hurley has been blasted as the "actress from hell" in a sensational attack by the director of her new film.

BAFTA-nominated Duncan Roy has exposed how the star's off-screen tantrums and long sex sessions with fiance Arun Nayar drove him wild with fury during the making of The Method in Romania.

Roy says, "I want everyone to know what I think she's like as a person. She is horrible."

The film-maker slammed Liz's acting skills, labelling her as a control freak.

He says, "Liz wanted to control every aspect of the film. She seems to have the impression that she is a great actress. She totally believes that she is something special. She's not."

But Roy's attack did not just stop at Liz's acting talent - her acne scars were also a focus of his attention.

He says, "She's got a great body but that's about it. That woman was once the face of Estee Lauder. Well, when you've seen her first thing in the morning using a spatula to trowel in thick globs of foundation on her old acne marks, she's not that attractive any more."

Hurley's repeated on-set romps with Nayar also infuriated Roy.

He says, "They would be bonking in the trailer when Arun was around and people kept walking in on them. I'd get these reports of, 'Oh, my God. They're at it again.'

"Whenever there was a spare five minutes he was down there. All over her like a rash. The whole trailer was really shaking with loads of grunting from inside."

Roy also found it impossible to direct the star - finding her overly aggressive when he gave her even the slightest criticism.

He adds, "I remember taking about ten minutes to gently say that I thought she could be a bit 'stiff' sometimes. She shouted, 'How dare you call me stiff.' She was sobbing. Uncontrollable."

However, Hurley herself is shocked by the attack - condemning the accusations as "lies".

Liz's spokeswoman KARIN SMITH says, "Elizabeth is astonished that Duncan should be telling these lies about her. She liked Duncan very much and fought very hard to get him the job. It is a mystery why he is being so unkind."
