Elizabeth Hurley's parrot is tormenting her pet dogs by waking them up when they try to go to sleep.

The model-and-actress' feathered friend - a Blue Fronted Amazonian breed that can mimic sounds and speech - has learnt how to copy her whistle and takes delight in doing it when the three Labradors and the Spaniel are trying to take their naps.

She wrote on her twitter page: "Naughty Ping Pong is driving the dogs demented by doing our special 'Doggies come here' whistle every time they lie down for a snooze..."

And Ping Pong has learnt another new trick - she can now copy her owner's laugh.

In another tweet, Elizabeth said: "She also imitates my horrible laugh."

The parrot's vocabulary is increasing all the time.

The 45-year-old beauty recently revealed her bird-brained pal can say "hello darling", "hello little girl" "shut up" and "hello mama".

Elizabeth - who is dating Australian cricket legend Shane Warne - has often spoken about how much she loves her pooches, and she even lets them sleep in her bed.

The 'Austin Powers' star - who lives on a farm in Gloucestershire, South West England, with her eight-year-old son Damian - said: "The first thing I do when I wake up is kiss my dogs. All of whom sleep on top of me. Living in the country means I try to walk or run with the dogs every day."
