Elizabeth Olsen has landed a role in 'Ingrid Goes West'.

The 'Captain America: Civil War' star is set to star alongside Aubrey Plaza in the upcoming independent comedy movie, which will follow the overwhelming obsession with celebrity culture in society.

The 27-year-old star will be cast as the social media star called Taylor Sloane, whilst Plaza will play Ingrid who grows an unhealthy obsession with Taylor, which sees her relocate to live near to her idol in a bid to be Taylor's best friend.

However, the film is set to have a plot twist, which will see both characters be on the receiving end of fatal consequences.

And Matt Spicer will land his directorial debut in the production, and has also co-wrote the project alongside David Branson Smith.

Olsen has already begun filming for the movie in Los Angeles, California.

Meanwhile, Olsen is set to star in thriller 'Wind River' alongside her 'Avengers: Age of Ultron' co-star Jeremy Renner.

And 32 year old Plaza will appear in 'Mike And Dave Need Wedding Dates', alongside Hollywood hunk Zac Efron, and the beauty will also appear in 'X-Men' spin-off TV series 'Legion'.
