Kimmy is back with a new job and a new man in her sights.
Everyone’s favourite Doomsday cult survivor Kimmy Schmidt is coming back and facing even more changes in her life. Netflix has just dropped the trailer for season two of the Tina Fey penned comedy and this time Kimmy’s got a new job and a new love interest, but the same old friends.
Ellie Kemper stars in ‘The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt’ on Netflix.
When we last saw Kimmy at the end of season one, she had travelled back to Indiana to help put her former captor, the Reverend Richard Wayne Gary Wayne, behind bars. She’d also lost her job, as wealthy trophy-wife Mrs Voorhees had decided to leave her husband and move back home to South Dakota.

But season two sees Kimmy finding perhaps the happiest job on earth, as an Elf in an all-year-round Christmas store, which sounds like a perfect fit for her wide-eyed, sunny demeanour. She’s also found a new man to set her sights on, after former love-interest Dong married another girl from their GED class for citizenship.
Though it may seem like everything’s changing for Kimmy, there are some familiar faces. It looks like things didn't work out for Mrs Voorhees in South Dakota and she’s now back, with a new catchphrase: "What's the hardest thing in the world for a trophy wife to do? Lose the jerk, but keep the perks.”
Kimmy’s also still got her roommate Titus and landlady Lillian Kaushtupper. Of course we can expect the new season to be full of more singing and dancing including catchy new track ‘ Bunny and Kitty’ about, well, a bunny and kitty who are best friends.
