The record will be the legendary rockstar's 33rd full-length release and will follow 2013's 'The Diving Board' which hit number 3 in the UK Albums chart. Returning to co-production duties is T-Bone Burnett, who worked on 'Wonderful Crazy Night' at Los Angeles' The Village studio. It follows his work on the 2013 album, as well as Elton's collaborative album with Leon Russell 'The Union'.

As usual, Elton John has brought in a number of other trusted musical partners to help put this album together, talented artists such as songwriter Bernie Taupin - with whom he has been working since the 60s - drummer Nigel Olsson and guitarist Davey Johnstone, among many others.

First single 'Looking Up' is the seventh track on the album, and will be available as a free instant download to all who pre-order the album. It's a thrillingly uplifting tune featuring a toe-tapping rhythm characteristic of Elton, some rocking riffs and truly incredible piano work.

More brilliant new compositions will also arrive in the form of 'A Good Heart', 'Tambourine' and 'The Open Chord', not to mention the banging self-titled opening salvo.
