Elvis Presley's former home in Palm Springs, California is up for auction.

The Hound Dog hitmaker's desert hideaway is on the market for $2.3 million (£1.6 million) and goes under the hammer on 25 October (14).

Presley bought the four-bedroom house in 1970 and it became known as 'Graceland West' in reference to the music legend's main Graceland home in Memphis, Tennessee, which is now a tourist attraction.

He still owned the home at the time of his death in 1977 at the age of 42.

The Palm Springs property was also previously owned by The Four Seasons star Frankie Valli, and boasts a spa and a swimming pool.
