Emily Blunt And John Krasinski Welcome Their Second Daughter

Emily Blunt and her husband John Krasinski have welcomed their second child – a baby girl named Violet.

36 year old actor Krasinski, formerly a star of the American version of ‘The Office’, revealed the news on Monday afternoon (July 4th) via Twitter, and it turns out that they had actually welcomed their second daughter two weeks ago, and have kept it quiet from the media.

“What better way to celebrate the 4th… than to announce our 4th family member!!! 2 weeks ago we met our beautiful daughter Violet #Happy4th” he wrote.

The couple, who were married in 2010 and welcomed their first daughter, two year old Hazel, in February 2014, revealed back in January that they were expecting again.

33 year old Blunt, born in Britain, now lives in Los Angeles with her husband, is one of the most respected actresses in Hollywood, with credible successes like Sicario and blockbuster hits like The Huntsman to her name. Now tapped to play Mary Poppins in an upcoming sequel project, her profile is set to get even bigger in the coming years.

She’s been keeping a busy schedule throughout her pregnancy, filming Girl On the Train – a mystery thriller adapted from Paula Hawkins’ 2015 novel that’s due for release before the end of the year – and doing a promotional tour for The Huntsman: Winter’s War.

Krasinski, currently filming J.J. Abrams’ God Particle, recently spoke about his home life, and revealed that his first-born daughter is beginning to talk and is picking up on Blunt’s accent.

“She is talking. She's talking a lot. She's starting to do little bits, which is hilarious. Like if she's looking for me instead of saying, 'Daddy, Daddy,' she says, 'Where is that daddy?' And she's starting to pick up on Emily's accent.”
