Emily Blunt at the Bazaar Women Of The Year Awards
There was an Olympic feel on the red carpet of the Harper's Bazaar Women Of The Year Awards (not to be confused with the Bizarre Women Of The Year Awards, which we imagine would be quite a different ceremony) but one actress managed to fend them all off in the glamour stakes, with Emily Blunt looking delightful in an Alexander McQueen orange gown with sparkly neckline. It was a wonderful outfit for the actress to wear as she scooped the British actor of the year award at the event held at Claridge's Hotel in London.
Two stars linked to this summer's Olympic Games: [Left] Hepathlon gold medallist Jessica Ennis and [right] opening and closing ceremony performer Emeli Sande. Cyclist Victoria Pendleton and Paralympian swimmer Ellie Simmonds were also in attendace.
Jessica Ennis led a British Olympic trio of Victoria Pendleton and Ellie Simmonds down the carpet, with Emeli Sande - who performed at the games' opening and closing ceremony - also in attendance. They held their own in the fashion stakes against a multitude of red carpet veterans including Vivienne Westwood (who was actually looking a little frumpy in her outfit), Stella Mccartney, Gillian Anderson and Yasmin Le Bon.
We thought this was a pretty poor outfit selection by Vivienne Westwood's usual standards
A cautious thumbs-up to Stella McCartney though for this sci-fi looking spacesuit outfit
Although this was the Women Of The Year Awards, some men were allowed to come to the party. With sports star Ennis being joined by her fiancee Andy Hill, whilst actor Idris Elba and comedian David Walliams were also among those at the party.
