Eminem is enjoying a great few days overseas - after performing at the MTv Europe Music Awards in Amsterdam, Holland and winning Sunday's Best Hip Hop Award at the prizegiving, he has also shot to the top of the U.K. album charts.

The rapper has become the first U.S. artist to score seven consecutive number one albums in the U.K. after debuting The Marshall Mathers Lp 2 at the top of the charts on Sunday (10Nov13).

He just missed out on a countdown double when his Rihanna collaboration, The Monster, was knocked off the top of the singles chart by Storm Queen's Look Right Through.

Eminem will have more to celebrate later this week (beg11Nov13) - The Marshall Mathers Lp 2 is expected to debut at the top of the U.S. charts on Wednesday (13Nov13) with sales of over 700,000.

Meanwhile, Elvis Presley has become the first act to score 50 top 10 U.K. albums after a new compilation, The Nation's Favourite Elvis Songs, enters the new chart at seven. The release is an accompaniment to a British Tv programme, which aired on Friday (08Nov13).

Four million music fans checked out the show and many voted for their favourite Elvis tune. Always On My Mind came out on top.

Returning to the U.K. singles countdown, Little Mix enter at three with Move, teenager Lorde slips to four with Royals, and One Direction's Story of My Life rounds out the new top five.

Meanwhile, Britney Spears has scored her 23rd U.K. top 10 single with Work B**ch at number seven.
