Eminem starred in a commercial for the car manufacturer 'Chrysler' during yesterday's Super Bowl broadcast (6th February 2011).
EMINEM, the American rapper who is nominated for a string of Grammy Awards at this week's ceremony, starred in a Chrysler commercial during last night's Super Bowl. The self-titled 'Biggest Show on Earth' was eventually won by the Green Bay Packers.The car company aired their add for the 'Chrysler 200' during the third quarter of the game and around halfway through the two-minute commercial the Detroit rapper appeared in the driver's seat of the luxury car. The 38-year-old was then seen driving around the streets of his hometown while listening to his hit track 'Lose Yourself'. EMINEM then stepped out of the vehicle and stood in front of a choir, before proclaiming, "This is the Motor City, this is what we do". Speaking to USA Today, Chrysler's chief marketing executive Olivier Francois said, "Super Bowl advertising is about making a statement and capturing the attention of the audience".
EMINEM also appeared as an animated version of himself for a 'Lipton Brisk' commercial during the Super Bowl ads. The rapper lent his voice to a stop-motion commercial promoting the brand of iced tea.
