We don't know if they're friends, but judging by the way Emma Watson defends Kristen Stewart, you'd think they're best buddies. Watson has given her two cents on the criticism that has surrounded Kristen Stewart over the past year or two. Speaking to Vanity Fair Italy, the Harry Potter star explained how being famous doesn't mean life isn't hard.
"Those who criticized her are the same people that think that being rich and famous is like being covered in some kind of magic powder that makes life perfect: Nothing can go wrong in your wonderful world," explained Watson, who is trying to shake her role as Hermione by taking on some more challenging projects; most recently, Perks of Being a Wallflower. "For these people, Kristen deserves all the bad things that have been thrown at her because she had an amazing life and she ruined it." Steward landed herself in some hot Hollywood water when it was revealed that she had been engaging in some extra curricular activities with her then boss, Snow White And The Huntsman director, Rupert Sanders.
She continued to explain that "everyone makes mistakes, everyone. It's not fair to consider them matters of public interest. On one hand, I can understand why it happened: people felt really involved in her relationship with Robert Pattinson. But it's also true that they both have done everything in their power to keep their relationship as far from the public eye as possible."
