Critical Reception of Noah

There has been criticism of Noah since its release in the US yesterday from critics and religious groups who are uncertain of the interpretation of the biblical story. However, Watson appeared unperturbed by such comments and stated, in the same interview, she felt the film was "a really original take on a genre, on a story, you know on an idea."

The Film Industry

Watson is keen to discuss the film industry and described to the Telegraph the difficulties of being a child star and avoiding "corruption" within the film industry. She emphasised the importance of having a support network which continues today through her family and education. Yet the troubles of being a child star are far from Watson's mind now as she attempts to break into films aimed at a more mature audience. She discussed the difficulties of obtaining a "complicated" role whilst talking to Elle magazine, as The Daily Mail reports. Watson said "In my downtime, I don't sex myself up much. Sometimes I have a hard time convincing directors that I can play more adult roles." She continued by saying: "I was being offered roles that I didn't feel were very complicated. Women that were one dimensional. Roles that required me to be one thing, but real women never are."
