Rocker Eric Clapton prefers to spend time at his home in Columbus, Ohio - because he can go unrecognised and lead a normal life. The Layla star, 62, has various houses across the world - but loves to go back to his countryside retreat in the U.S. because it reminds him of his native Britain, without all the media attention. He tells talkshow host Larry King, "I have a house in England. I have a house in France, a house in Columbus, and a house in Antigua. "(Columbus) is great. Well, it is very much like England to me. It has the same sort of countryside, rolling hills, you know, small kind of civilized communities of people that all know one another. I mean, when first went there, it was just those sitcoms you see where people come in the kitchen unannounced, you know?"
