Eric Clapton sacked the ghost writer of his autobiography, after he realised he could do a better job. Clapton reveals all about his life as a rock legend in Eric Clapton: The Autobiography. He tells talk show host Larry King, "It started out as a sort of ghost writing enterprise and then I thought - when I looked at it, I thought, well, I think I can do a better job. So I kind of consigned him (the ghost writer) to research duties and I took over writing. "I always enjoyed writing. At school I liked - I did well in English. So it was nice to get back in touch with my education like that."
