Rock legend Eric Clapton delighted fans at his Crossroads Guitar Festival in Chicago, Illinois on Saturday (26Jun10) by declaring the 2010 event would not be the last.
The guitarist had previously announced Chicago's star-studded line-up, featuring Jeff Beck, B.B. King, Ronnie Wood and ZZ Top, would be the last of his benefit gigs to raise money for his Crossroads rehabilitation facility in Antigua. Two previous concerts were held in 2004 and 2007.
But, after taking to the stage for a finale performance of Rock Me Baby with King, Robert Cray and Jimmy Vaughn, Clapton announced he had had a change of heart about continuing the festival.
He told the crowd, "I know I said this would be the last one. But I don't think it will be."
The 2010 Crossroads Guitar Festival, which was hosted by actor Bill Murray, also featured sets by John Mayer and Sheryl Crow.
