Eva Green has joined 'The Salvation'.

The actress will reunite with 'Casino Royale' co-star Mads Mikkelsen in the English-language Danish Western film, according to Deadline.

Joining Mikkelsen Green will be 'Grey's Anatomy' actor Jeffrey Dean Morgan, 'G.I. Joe' actor Jonathan Pryce and soccer star Eric Cantona.

The film is set in 1870s America where a man exacts vengeance on his family's murderer, but in doing so incurs the wrath of the local gang leader. The protagonist, who is exiled by his townspeople, must fight back against the gang alone and try to free the town from mob rule.

The film is being directed by Kristian Levring and has begun shooting in Johannesburg, South Africa.

The Western is produced by Spier Films and British production company Foward Films.

Green will next be seen in '300' sequel '300: Rise of an Empire' and also has a role in 'Sin City' sequel 'Sin City: A Dame to Kill For'.

The actress recently revealed that her '300' character Artemisia has ''balls''.

She said: ''She has some balls, that's for sure. It's my first action movie. Artemisia's like an Amazon. She's a very, very strong woman.''

'The Salvation' is due for release in October 2014.
