Eva Longoria has graduated from university with a masters in Chicano Studies.

The 38-year-old actress proved she's not just a pretty face after completing a master's degree in Chicano Studies at California State University.

Three years of hard school work paid off as the 'Desperate Housewives' star proudly tweeted photos from her graduation ceremony on Wednesday (22.05.13).

Eva wrote the morning of the ceremony: ''Big day today!!! Very excited to graduate for my Master's degree in Chicano Studies! You're never too old or too busy to continue your education.''

Eva also received messages of support on Twitter from her admiring friends.

'Desperate Housewives' co-star MARCIA CROSS tweeted: ''Huge congratulations on your graduation today!!!! From Canne to Cap and Gown. You are really something. Xoxo m (sic)''

The actress recently revealed she was struggling to meet the deadline for her thesis.

She said: ''I'm writing my thesis now. Hopefully, I'll finish in time!''

However, it seems she finally met the deadline and impressed her university professors.

Her representative said: ''Eva enrolled at Northridge three years ago and is receiving her Master's degree in Chicano Studies with her thesis on 'Success STEMS From Diversity: The Value of Latinas in STEM [Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics] Careers'.''
