Actress Eva Longoria Has Launched A Campaign To Spotlight Latin-americans Who Are The First In Their Family To Achieve Milestones.
The former Desperate Housewives star launched The Firsts Campaign on Monday (28Sep15) to celebrate Latinos who have made history in their family by accomplishing achievements such as graduating high school or college or opening their own business.
Longoria encouraged fans to share their stories in a statement which reads: "I am inspired every day by our community as we constantly dare to dream big. I'm talking about those who become the first in their family to achieve milestones - whether they're the first to graduate from college, own a home, or vote on Election Day. The Firsts Campaign is about celebrating everyday victories in our community that are integral to the future of the nation."
The online campaign is part of the Latino Victory Project, an organisation the actress co-founded to build political power within their community, and can be located on the Latino Victory Project's website.
