She is definitely dressed to impress as well, in a long black pencil skirt with a flattering white shirt.

Gosling's Bank Robbery For 'Pines' Filmed In Front Of Real Customers

Ryan Gosling Eva Mendes Bradley Cooper

A bank robbery scene in Ryan Gosling's new movie The Place Beyond The Pines was filmed in front of real customers to incite genuine reactions. Gosling - who plays stuntman turned criminal Luke Glanton in the crime-drama - told the Daily Telegraph that the film's crew used members of the public to make the shoot-out appear real.

However, such is the level of fame achieved by Gosling in recent years that bank customers were star-struck, rather than scared. "I'm there with a gun and I look down and people are just smiling," said the actor, "They were just enjoying the show and I think I spotted someone filming me on their camera phone as I robbed the place."

The 32-year-old, who stars alongside real-life girlfriend Eva Mendes in Pines, also said that the role in the movie allowed him to indulge in his true passion: motorbikes. "I got a paper route and saved up and got a [motorbike] when I was about 12 years old," he admitted. "I sat with it out in the yard for about a year just pretending I was riding it."

The Place Beyond The Pines Trailer: Ryan Gosling As Motorcycle Stunt Guy

Ryan Gosling Michelle Williams Eva Mendes Bradley Cooper Rose Byrne Ray Liotta

Here’s the trailer for the latest Ryan Gosling film, scheduled for release in April 2013. If you can’t wait that long for a slice of Gosling action, don’t worry too much because you can catch him in Gangster Squad, the film noir-esque gangster tale set in 1940s / 50s Los Angeles. For fans of his 2011 movie Drive though, The Place Beyond The Pines should strike a chord, as it features a familiar character background.

Directed by Derek Cianfrance (who steered Ryan Gosling and Michelle Williams in 2010’s Blue Valentine), The Place Beyond The Pines tells the tale of Gosling’s character Luke, a bleach-blonde stunt motorcyclist (he also played a stunt car driver in Drive) who turns to crime when he discovers that he has a son to raise, that he didn’t know about and wants to provide for his child and partner (in Drive, of course, it was someone else’s partner that he tried to protect).

The Place Beyond The Pines is scheduled for release in April 2013 and also stars Ryan’s off-screen girlfriend Eva Mendes (playing the role of his on-screen girlfriend, no less), as well as Bradley Cooper, who had recent success in Silver Linings Playbook and the Bridesmaids star Rose Byrne. Oh and Ray Liotta’s in it too. Neat, huh?

The Place Beyond The Pines Trailer Hits The Web - Ryan Gosling As Motorcycle Stunt Man

Ryan Gosling Eva Mendes Bradley Cooper Rose Byrne

A trailer for The Place Beyond The Pines, the latest Ryan Gosling movie, has just hit the web and it’s looking pretty impressive to us. Starring Gosling’s off-screen squeeze as his on-screen love interest (that’s Eva Mendes, if you weren’t sure) and also starring Bradley Cooper and Rose Byrne, The Place Beyond The Pines tells the tale of a motorcycle stunt rider who turns to crime, in order to provide for his wife and child.

If that sounds familiar in some way, that may be because Gosling recently impressed the movie-loving world with his performance in Drive in which he played a stunt car driver, who, erm, gets himself in a heap of criminal trouble when he tries to help out a neighbour (who he just happens to be a little bit in love with). Still, there are obvious differences, we promise. The Place Beyond The Pines is directed by Blue Valentine producer Derek Cianfrance and features Gosling as a bleach-blonde adventure-seeker, covered in tattoos and trying to figure out the best way to raise his young child.

The Place Beyond The Pines is scheduled for release in April 2013 and in the mean time, you can catch Gosling in Gangster Squad, which is scheduled for release in January 2013. Gangster Squad was originally scheduled for an earlier release but revisions were made to the movie in the wake of the Colorado Batman shootings.

Eva Mendes And Ryan Gosling - Hollywood’s Private Couple Pictured On Thanksgiving

Ryan Gosling Eva Mendes

Who doesn’t want to spend Thanksgiving Day with Ryan Gosling, eh? Like, every year. For the rest of their life. Arm in arm. Walking through New York City, laughing, smiling, snuggled up warm in expensive autumnal fashions, whilst the world looks on with a mixture of envy, disdain and suppressed homicidal thoughts? Hmmm?

Well, there’s no ‘wanting’ for Eva Mendes. Because she’s been dating Ryan for about a year, now. E! Online have pictured the couple together on Thanksgiving Day looking happy as Larry together, so anyone that was thinking of queuing up to be next in line may well have a long wait on their hands. Ryan, 32 and Eva, 38, went for a stroll around the city and although they’re a pretty private couple, they are pictured out and about together fairly often. Always looking happy. Sigh… Last year, Ryan told The Times in the UK that he’s pretty keen on starting a family some day soon, telling them “I’d like to be making babies but I’m not so I’m making movies. When someone comes along, I don't think I'll be able to do both and I'm fine with that. I'll make movies until I make babies.”

If you’re wondering what other heart-breakingly endearing stories Ryan has been in the news for of late (other than appearing in top-notch movies such as Gangster Squad), he’s pretty good at breaking up street fights, saving people about to be hit by taxis and falling, tragically to his death from a mountain in Austria. Except that last one was a hoax, obviously.

Kristen Stewart turns up for the On The Road screening at AFI Festival

On The Road has long since had its premiere, but it was still one of the most hotly-talked about films at the annual AFI Festival in Hollywood over the weekend, as the stars flocked to its showing. Taking center stage was Kristen Stewart, as she tends to do, but she was joined by several others including Amy Adams, who definitely won the style awards with a black shoulderless dress that billowed out in black and green leaf design.

Kylie Minogue Dazzles In Dolce & Gabbana At Holy Motors Premiere

Kylie Minogue Denis Lavant Edith Scob Eva Mendes Leos Carax

When Kylie Minogue hit the red carpet for the premiere of her new movie, she cut a dazzling figure in a stunning black sequinned Dolce & Gabbana gown. On Tuesday night (September 17, 2012), the UK premiere for Holy Motors took place at the Curzon Mayfair and the movie’s Aussie star made sure that she really stood out in her shimmering, floor-length frock. She finished the look off with smoky eye-shadow and dangling diamond earrings.

The movie, a French drama, also stars Denis Lavant, Edith Scob and Eva Mendes. After posing for photos on the red carpet, Kylie then “cosied up to director Leos Carax,” according to the Daily Mail. It’s a rare film role for Kylie; even though she started out as an actress – in Australian soaps such as Neighbours - she has spent the last twenty-five years focusing mainly on her music career. Speaking about her decision to take part in the movie, Kylie said “I’m always intrigued and enticed by that which I haven’t done, so… there was every reason to do it and no reason not to do it… it turned out to be one of the best experiences I’ve ever had.”

Kylie plays the role of Eva Grace (Jean) in the movie. She has her hair cropped short for the role, a far cry from the elegant long locks that she was sporting Tuesday night. There are no Kylie Minogue songs in the movie, though she does have a singing part. Holy Motors receives its general release in the UK on September 28, 2012.

Out Of Time Review

OK
Approximately 106 times over the course of 106 playfully passionate minutes, Carl Franklin's Out of Time threatens to jump the rails of logic and careen off course. With a steady Denzel Washington at the helm, the film never does. But after a while, you start to realize there are only so many grains of salt we can swallow to help a sultry suspense picture like this go down.

Chief of Police Matt Lee Whitlock (Washington) monitors the comings and goings of Banyan Key, an intimate beach community located several miles south of Miami. His private life is plagued by failed relationships and love triangles. A pending separation from his wife Alex (Eva Mendes) doesn't stop Whitlock from sleeping with Anne (Sanaa Lathan), a married townie with an abusive husband (Dean Cain).

Once Upon A Time In Mexico Review

Weak

"Desperado," the second eye-poppingly stylish and unabashedly outlandish B-movie in Robert Rodriguez's "El Mariachi" shoot-'em-up trilogy, is one of my all-time favorite action movies, in part because it has its priorities straight: The plot was simple -- a nameless mariachi avenges his girlfriend's murder with a guitar case full of semi-automatic weapons and an endless supply of ammunition -- and the action was non-stop and over-the-top.

Antonio Banderas cut an imposing, mysterious, hell-bent, dangerous and dead sexy figure in his long hair, implacable glower and black suede bandito get-up -- complete with jangling spurs -- as he performed a limber slow-motion ballet of body-twisting, two-fisted gunfire while dodging hails of bullets from evil drug-runners. And all this was set to a steamy, dynamic south-of-the-border score by the great guitaristas of Los Lobos.

But in the new installment, "Once Upon a Time in Mexico," writer-director-editor-composer Rodriguez pollutes the action -- which is uncharacteristically erratic, incongruous and over-edited -- with a needlessly convoluted plot involving 1) a thorny coup attempt against the Mexican president backed by a cartel kingpin (Willem Dafoe) and his turncoat henchman (Mickey Rourke), 2) a crooked and borderline-loco CIA agent (Johnny Depp) playing both sides against the middle, 3) a former FBI agent (Ruben Blades) frustrated with not nailing the kingpin before his retirement, 4) a curvaceous, gung-ho greenhorn federale (Eva Mendez) with ulterior motives, and 5) yet another murder, played out in fantasized-action flashbacks, that the mariachi is out to avenge.

All About The Benjamins Review

OK

Ice Cube and Mike Epps, co-stars of the stoner satire "Next Friday," trade their ganja for gunplay in "All About the Benjamins." Cube is a rebellious, hotshot Miami bounty hunter and Epps is his frequent petty-criminal quarry, but they become partners looking to score some fast cash when one of their regular foot chases lands them both in the middle of a diamond heist.

Actually, Epps isn't interested in the diamonds. He dropped his wallet while hiding in the back of the jewel thieves' van and he just wants it back because the wallet contains his girlfriend's winning $60 million lottery ticket.

Cube doesn't buy that story, but he plays along because he wants to start his own private detective agency and he figures he could get some great publicity out of collaring a couple killers who stole $20 million in stones.

2 Fast 2 Furious Review

Weak

When even a skillful writer-director with soul to spare like John Singleton ("Boyz 'N' the Hood," "Shaft") can't lend a street-racing movie an ounce of personality, it becomes abundantly clear that the trendy genre never had anything worthwhile to offer in the first place.

Stepping behind the camera for the carbon-copy sequel "2 Fast 2 Furious," Singleton frontloads the film with one scene of enjoyable B-movie flair -- a midnight drag race punctuated by car-wake camera shakes, colorful background-blur effects, and cheesy close-ups of revving tachometers, needle-buried speedometers and bad actors squinting with determined concentration as they grip the wheel.

But as soon as the movie is sideswiped by its imbecilic plot, Singleton loses his ironic sense of style and the flick crashes and burns.

Stuck On You Review

OK

When Walt Tenor (Greg Kinnear) decides he wants to become an actor, he tries to convince his twin brother Bob (Matt Damon) -- his conjoined twin brother -- to move out to Hollywood with him by saying, "You could be my stunt double!"

Yes folks, "Stuck On You" is another cheeky comedy of good humor and questionable taste from the Farrelly Brothers ("Kingpin," "There's Something About Mary" and "Shallow Hal"), and yes, folks, they get a surprising amount of mileage out of jokes like that one -- rim-shot-quality punchlines given winkingly ironic sparkle by the wily writing-directing team's laughing-with-not-laughing-at sensibilities.

There's the scene in which Walt walks his shy sibling over to a pretty blonde in a bar, then takes over the seduction himself when Bob blows it -- and ends up bringing the girl home (Bob tries to ignore their moaning from the other side of a makeshift curtain). There's Walt's "one-man" stage show about Truman Capote, in which Bob tries to slouch as inconspicuously as possible behind Walt's back.
