True Blood actress Evan Rachel Wood and her husband, Billy Elliot actor Jamie Bell, have become first-time parents after Evan gave birth to a son on 29th July. No details of their baby's name or weight have been released yet but both parents have confirmed the birth via Twitter, as well as Evan's spokesperson releasing an official statement via E! News saying "Evan Rachel Wood and her husband Jamie Bell are parents to a beautiful boy. Parents and baby are all doing well."

Jamie tweeted out to the world to express his joy at becoming a father for the first time: "Wow! What a day. Evan you are my warrior! You never cease to amaze. Thank you for birthing our son so naturally & peacefully. You did it!" with Evan replying in kind "And you are mine :) thank you for being there and helping me through it. I love you both more than words can say."

The couple met in 2005 on the set of Greenday's 'Wake Me Up When September Ends' video in which they both starred but, after getting tattoos of each other's initials, the couple split up and Wood began to date rocker Marilyn Manson to whom she became engaged in 2010. The 25 year-old split from her musician fiancé in the same year and then rekindled her relationship with Bell - and this time it was true love for the True Blood actress five years on from their first time together.

Bell and Wood married in October 2012 and shortly afterwards announced they were expecting a baby together.

Wood kept her Twitter fans updated throughout her pregnancy, choosing to break the news in typical rock 'n' roll style: "Its a boy!! Song of the day "beautiful boy" #johnlennon," though just last week voiced her concerns regarding her young family of three being hounded by paps. "I believe kids should be protected and not public domain. When my baby comes I would greatly appreciate no support of any pap photos," she wrote. "Big thanks to anyone who understands and shows their support. Lots of love... We know it wont eliminate the problem and it comes with the territory and all of that good stuff. But even a little goes a long way.[sic]"
