Trainspotting Co-stars Ewan McGregor And Robert Carlyle Are Set To Be Brought Back Together At A Film Festival In Their Native Scotland Next Month (Jun15).
The Moulin Rouge! actor is heading to the 2015 Edinburgh International Film Festival (EIFF) to screen his new movie Last Days In The Desert, in which he plays Jesus Christ, reuniting him with fellow Trainspotting alum Carlyle, who is set to unveil his directorial debut there.
Carlyle's first film behind the camera, The Legend Of Barney Thomson, is set in the Scottish city of Glasgow and stars Emma Thompson and Ray Winstone. MCGregor will also give a talk about his Hollywood career during the event.
Other films set to be screened at the festival include Amy, a documentary about tragic British singer Amy Winehouse, Arnold Schwarzenegger's zombie thriller Maggie, and a new adaptation of Dylan Thomas classic Under Milk Wood.
The Edinburgh International Film Festival runs from 17- 28 June (15).
