Fergie has designed a new shade of lipstick for the American Foundation for AIDS Research (amfAR).

The Black Eyed Peas singer has developed the Perfect Pout V.I. Pink lip colour with Wet 'n' Wild, with around 50 cents of each $3.49 shimmery pink lip colour sold going to the charity.

Fergie - full name Stacy Ferguson - signed up as Wet 'n' Wild's global beauty ambassador in March 2012 and the cause is very close to her heart.

She said: ''For me, it was really important to have a charitable component to my cosmetics line.

''I did the MAC Viva Glam campaign [in 2008], and I was very inspired by the cause and motivated to do something myself. Wet 'n' Wild has been amazing, and we've really pushed this forward and embraced it with open arms.''

Fergie is also set to give three lucky people a makeover live in New York's Times Square this morning (21.03.13) on 'Good Morning America' and has invited all 652,186 of her Twitter followers to join her.

She added: ''We really wanted to include social media with this. We'll select three winners and feature the makeovers on live television and on social media. [This cause is] very close to my heart.''

Fergie - who is set to turn 38 at the end of this month - has more time to concentrate on her make-up line as she is having a rest from her singing career while she is pregnant with her first child with husband Josh Duhamel.

She added to WWD: ''I knew I had to get off tour to be pregnant - I wasn't going to be one of those girls touring with a bun in the oven.

''Being pregnant, it's great to do a lot of work from home. I do it being comfortable and not worrying about hair and make-up. As far as what I'm going to do when the child comes? I have no idea what I'm going to tell you!''
