Fightstar frontman Charlie Simpson is attempting to make his way into the record books by playing the world's coldest gig.
The British singer will jet to Oymyakon, Siberia in November (12) to try and play a show in freezing -40 degree weather, a feat which would land him a spot in the Guinness World Records.
And the former Busted star can't wait for the challenge, telling NME.com, "The gig is by far one of the biggest challenges of my career, but I'm really excited to get out there and see a part of our planet that very few people will ever get to visit. It's not really an option to play my guitar wearing gloves, so I just hope my fingers don't freeze."
The town, which has a population of 472 people, has no running water or electricity and is so frigid, mobile phones cannot function.
