Amelia Earhart was a true hero to many men and women, she was an independent freethinker who yearned to explore. She was the first woman to fly the Atlantic and Pacific on solo fights. Her success propelled her life into the limelight and became one of the biggest names of the glitterati. She married her publisher George Putnam and even though Amelia had an affair, their love lasted until Ameilas disappearance whilst she was trying to circumnavigate the globe alone in 1937.
