Mr Thigo is a man you don't want to mess with, a gangster and loan shark his reputation is known to most of the criminal underground. The recession doesn't only affect the law abiding citizens of London, it's taking its toll on the more dubious characters too.

When Mr Thigo turns up in London wanting to collect some unpaid debts, he chooses one of the late payers to make an example of. Nick is a reformed ex-con who is given a period of 24 hours to come up with the cash he still owes Mr Thigo or they will kill him and his mother who the gangsters are holding hostage. Nick literally becomes a dead man running.
