Harry, Ron and Hermione are fast growing up and teenage hormones are starting to take hold of our beloved teenage heroes. Harry and Ginny Weasley's friendship is growing stronger everyday whilst Hermione is left watching from the sidelines as Ron falls for Lavender Brown, a girl he's sure he's in love with even before speaking to her. Even though the halls of Hogwarts are full of romance each student is fully aware that the evil Lord Voldemort is waiting to make his move and destroy Harry Potter.

With Death Eaters now inflicting mayhem in both the Muggle and Wizarding worlds loyal and wise Dumbledore knows he must train Harry for his inevitable battle against Lord Voldemort, to help him on his way, Dumbledore re-employs an old colleague Horace Slughorn as the Potions Professor, together the three must figure out a way to unlock Voldemort's defences.
